CONFESSION OF SIN [Sinners’ Prayer]

Lord God, we are sinners. We violate Your commandments every day - in our thoughts, in our words, and in our actions; in what we have done, and in what we have failed to do. We deserve death and hell.

Our God and King, we are sorry for our sins. Please forgive us. We are trusting in Jesus Your Son. We love His perfect obedience. We love His perfect sacrifice on the cross. We yield to Him again as our Lord and Savior.

Our great and everlasting God, Whose eternal power and divine nature have been seen through the things You have made; we acknowledge that we are without excuse. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
